His father was a musician Carmine Coppola and his mother had been an actress.

Then Godfather part2 was released after two years which won six academy awards.

He then started working on his most ambitious film, Apocalypse now which was about a Vietnam War. He is one of Hollywood’s most controversial film-makers.
